Costa Serena
Peacock Hills
Rancho Hermosa

These 3 communities are very similar, so I'll describe them all together.

Costa Serena is a neighborhood of homes built in the 1960s.  The area is unique, with no homeowner fees (voluntary $30 per year), and low housing costs.  Since there are no fees, there are no gates, pools, or clubhouses.  It's a very affordable way to own a home 3 1/2 miles from the ocean.

Peacock Hills and Rancho Hermosa are very similar construction, located a little further inland.

If you want to have a backyard where you can have a garden or a few fruit trees, then these communities are an excellent choice. Since there are no homeowner fees, you are responsible all maintenance on your property.

Here's a typical street scene.  Some homes have terrific views that would cost much more in other areas.
These homes are half-duplexes, connected at the one-car garages.  Built in the 1960s, the homes range from 827-1100 square feet.
Here's a typical street scene in Rancho Hermosa. Prices in all 3 communities run in the mid $200s to the low $300s.
