Seven Oaks is the original senior
community in Rancho Bernardo, built in the 1960s and early 1970s. Today
it is a very active community, and has the most affordable homes in inland
San Diego.

There are
two kinds of housing in Seven Oaks. Here you see the attached townhouses,
all on the ground level. They are about 1000 square feet, 2 bedrooms,
1 bath, and start in the high $200,000s. These have homeowner dues
of $220 a month, but all maintenance is taken care of for you. |
| Seven Oaks also
has detached homes. These homes
average 1300-1900 square feet, have good sized backyards for gardening,
and range in price from the $400s into the $500,000. Homeowner dues
here are only $250 a year, but you must maintain everything yourself.
For this reason, low maintenance gravel yards are popular. |
