In the original section of Ocean Hills Country Club, the homes are half-duplexes. There are 6 floorplans, built from 1984 to 1988.Approximately 1200 of these homes were built.

After the success of the first section, 5 new and larger floorplans were introduced. These were detached homes, built from 1989 to 1992. Only around 200 of these homes were built.

Then the recession of the early 1990s hit, and no homes were built for 5 years. In 1997 Ryland built out the last remaining section of Ocean Hills, with 6 new floorplans. These detached homes were built from 1997 to 1999. Only around 200 of these homes were built.
