Must have newer? Gavilan, Alondra, and Cortesa are almost new 55+ communities and boy did they pull out all the stops! This place is drop-dead gorgeous, with builders like Shea, Cal-Atlantic and Del Webb collaborating to make the best senior community ever.

Of course, you would expect to pay more for quality so Gavilan prices are on the upper end for Orange County. The community also has extra taxes for all the new infrastructure bringing the tax rate to 1.5% of your purchase price, versus the usual 1.2%.

Gavilan is a community of 285 homes and is a part of the Sendero master planned community.

Residents can use all of Sendero’s facilities as well as the amenities exclusive to Gavilan. That means The Hacienda, the Ranch House, the Guest House, the Outpost and Sendero Farm are all yours to enjoy. What are those places? They’re top of the line common areas with amenities I haven’t seen anyplace else. I promise you’ll say “wow!” when I show you this place.

These are the smallest detached homes in the “Casitas” development. The builder can save space by using a clustered driveway which results in a lower cost per home yet still give you all the benefits of a detached home. These are around 1700-2000 square feet.
